We are a team of former industry, government, and academia scientists and engineers with decades of experience in the formulation, development and execution of space missions. We are coming together with a shared mission: to apply our knowledge and skills to make a meaningful impact on our planet. By leveraging technology and embracing a collaborative approach, we are committed to addressing earth's problems and shaping a sustainable future.

What's in a name?

Arroyo Space takes its name from the Arroyo Seco, the dry streambed in Pasadena, California, and the birthplace of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). In the late 1930s, a small group of Caltech and Pasadena visionaries, later known as the "Suicide Squad," began testing experimental rocket engines along the banks of the Arroyo Seco. Their work laid the foundation for JPL and ultimately for the United States leadership in space exploration. Arroyo Space honors that legacy of bold experimentation and engineering ingenuity, linking its mission to the same spirit of innovation that transformed a dusty canyon into a launchpad for the exploration of the solar system.
